Consisting of five collections, the Primary Online Package™ offers the most complete collection of full-text reference resources available for elementary schools. This full-text package contains databases designed not only for students, but also for educators.

ERIC®
ERIC®, the Education Resource Information Center, provides access to education literature and resources. The database provides access to information from journals included in the Current Index of Journals in Education and Resources in Education Index.
ERIC contains more than 1,300,000 records and links to more than 317,000 full-text documents from ERIC back to 1966.

Image Collection
Access to EBSCO's Image Collection provides students with instant access to over 502,000 worldly images relating to people, natural science, places, history, maps and flags. The Image Collection database contains images in these categories:

  1. Photographs
  2. Images from Canadian Press
  3. Maps from MapQuest
  4. Photographs from public domain sources

The images consist of a wide array of photos and maps, with an emphasis on world news and events. Other areas of coverage include contemporary and historical photos of people, places and the natural kingdom.
User can access the Image Collection by clicking on Images along the top toolbar on the EBSCOhost screen, or by selecting the Pictures island in Searchasaurus.
Image Collection Result Lists include citation information as well as thumbnail images. Clicking on any thumbnail image will display the full size image. Images can then be printed or saved.

Newspaper Source™
Newspaper Source™ provides cover-to-cover full text for 45 national (U.S.) and international newspapers, including Christian Science Monitor, USA Today, The Washington Post, The Washington Times, The Times (London), Toronto Star, etc.
The database also contains selective full text for 389 regional (U.S.) newspapers. In addition, full-text television & radio news transcripts are provided from CBS News, CNN, CNN International, FOX News, NPR, etc.

Primary Search®
Primary Search®, designed specifically for elementary school libraries, contains full text for more than 70 popular, elementary school magazines.
All full-text articles are assigned a reading level indicator (Lexiles). Additionally, Primary Search includes the Encyclopedia of Animals™, and features Funk & Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, providing students with easy-to-read encyclopedic entries written specifically for kids. The database also provides the American Heritage® Children's Dictionary, 3rd Edition from Houghton Mifflin, and an Image Collection.
