Student Government

The Student Government is a group of students that dedicate their work for the improvement of the condition of all the students within the school, they serve as more than just a medium of agreement between students and teachers. Different candidates run to hold the positions of President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer, at both levels: class or entire school.

OBJECTIVES

• All student government members will develop a sense of leadership to serve the school
• Help the school plan activities and achieve specific goals
• Create a feeling of companionship between student council members throughout the school year
• Develop school spirit through activities during the school year
• Establish responsibilities for all students' government members
• Establish and develop goals that will Benefit the student body

REQUIREMENTS

• Be proud of the school
• Maintain an S in conduct
• Maintain a B average
• Participate in all student government activities
• Have lot's of school spirit
• Be a good role model and leader

CURRENT GOVERNMENT
	President Francisco Giammattei I am proud to be Colegio Maya's fifth president. I plan to make this school year better for everyone by creating comfortable solutions to problems I encounter throughout the school year. I am proud to be serving and representing my school. Our school is clearly excellent in every way.
	Vice President Juan Nieto I am excited to be the Vice President of my school. This position is a challenge but also represents the opportunity to serve my school. Through this position, I am able to improve the image of my school and also promote its moral values. I am happy that I will be able to be useful to my school and to the student body. I will do everything that is in my power during this year so Colegio Maya can shine.
	Secretary Celia Morales I am much honored to be the school's secretary. With this position comes a great deal of responsibility and hard work. I am aware of what my duties are, some being the keeping of an organized monthly calendar of Student Government activities, the planning and organization of projects with the Student Government staff and assisting Francisco Giammattei in his tasks as president to make his work easier, in which I will put all my effort and hard work.
